I'm a guy in my early thirties longing to become a little more self-sufficient. I'm a husband, a father, and trying to be a bit of an urban farmer. I have a beautiful wife and two lovely daughters, and we reside in the hills of Northwest Georgia. We've always kept a small garden, but this year we've really taken the next step by tilling up more land and getting chickens so we can have fresh eggs and meat. I probably should have started this blog at the beginning of Spring, but wasn't hit with the thought of writing it til now. In the pic is one of our many Squash plants, almost ready to produce.
